Iraqi forces hold Saddam's nephew

One of Saddam Hussein's nephews has been arrested on suspicion of being one of the chief financiers of the Iraqi insurgency, officials say.

Police held Yasser Sabawi Ibrahim after a tip-off from the Syrian authorities.

Syria has been under intense pressure from the US to prevent militants crossing into Iraq.

The arrest came before the head of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, arrived in Baghdad on his first visit since the US-led war in Iraq.

Mr Moussa, who has warned that Iraq is on the verge of civil war, arrived in Baghdad on Thursday for what officials said would be a mission to promote national reconciliation.

Arab League officials said Mr Moussa was expected to meet Prime Minister Ibrahim Jaafari, President Jalal Talabani and Iraqi Shia spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani.

Yet more help from Syria , i dont know why they bother , the only message the west wants to broadcast is how evil and nasty they are , will they be given a thank you or an invasion ?

lets jut say i doubt they will be thanked

I wish i didnt G , but yes i do think syria are wasting their time helping the US whilst this lot is in power

rice / cheney / bush etc all have it in for Iran and syria regardless of what they do

so it is in the interests of both those countries to shut down the hatches and try and ride out the constant US nagging

tell me G , is your news telling you that one of the real genuine insurgents (not bullshit guys like zarqawi) has been captured and that is thanks to syria and syria alone ?

because you guys didnt have even a sniff of this

whats in it for them G ? another spout of dribble from John bolton ?

the world is a two way street
