lol, I like the idea that a anyone conciders a comedy show, who soley depends on ratings and laughs, is a viable media outlet.

Silkwood... where do you think he gets the "news" he talks about?

Comedy Central doesnt have a staff of reporters.

You like the presentation the information is packaged in on that show, but the information is the same, just spun differently from different outlets.

It is a viable media presentation form , they are using mainstream news reports of course

but most TV news companies depend on reuters and AP etc to find out the facts

Take the current "New offensive" going on in Iraq , There are wounded children (and dead ones) building up in hospitals in the area

does that come up as your TV headline ?

how news is presented is one of the problems people like me have ,

this scene highlights stupidity that would often be missed by the main news and that is healthy

political Satire is a very important part of the range of ways we find our News , aslong as we remember what it is

I dont disagree that you can use it as a media source, just that the statment it is the only place for accurate news is just scary.
